Thank you for another thoughtful view, Nick. I will especially try to remember to focus on the good work when things get tough. Have a great week!

A good answer for the chosen question this week. My two cents is that, as a white male, I sought female instructors and leaders to learn from over the years. I think men, especially white male cis-gendered men like myself, should make an effort to learn skills and/or knowledge from genders and groups other than their own. Take a chance. My current Zen teacher is a woman and past theological instructors have been women of all groups. Let’s just say: When I made the effort, becoming part of the solution became easier. I still work at it. Time and effort.

Greetings Mr. Offerman.

Pastor Salas here, 25 years old, moved from Barquisimeto, Venezuela to Charlotte, North Carolina in march of 2018.

All my life I've been trying to figure out my life and what I want to do with it, and when I had to leave my homeland and come to the US of A to start over things have been getting a little more complicated to figure out. I went from going to college full time to work in different jobs, right now I work in a deli, and even tho it is a good job im not sure if its what I want to do.

But well, I don't wanna bore you with all the details, I guess my question is: What advice do you give somebody who is still trying to find himself professionally in this world? After all you seem to be the kind of guy who knows exactly who he is and what he likes.

P.S: By the way, I have a job interview next week for something I really like, wish me luck.

Hi Nick,

My boyfriend and I live in La Crosse, WI and this summer we have gotten really into camping. Do you have any favorite camping items/tips/recipes? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

(Also if anyone is looking for a good spot in the area Shady Rest Acres in Brownsville, MN is really nice.)

Thank you and I hope everybody is having a good week!

As a female volunteer FireFighter, EMT and Stormspotter, I find it rewarding to give my positive attention and vibes to those who men *AND* women who are NOT being bad canoes. I also hone my skill-set and dedication to the force to earn respect, understanding it will not be handed to me. If the situation becomes untenable to the point where I believe any person or organisation is not appreciating me, I take my wicked skill-set and dedication down the line and move on to greener pastures.

I try to be the kind of worker that they will miss when I am gone.
