i fuckin love you, my brother. i listened to this while doing my morning dishes and laundry folding and i have to say, hearing it in your voice was so much thrillier than just seeing the words on the page. i’m so glad you’re doing this ♥️♥️♥️
if the world was suddenly limited in its natural resources, what wood species would be your first choice of what you would want to work with for the near forever?
An auspicious beginning! This is going to be great fun. Here's a question: does Nick Offerman refer to himself in the third person? And bonus Q: does he drive stick?
I'm wondering what your first woodworking project was. What did you make (and when) ~ I'm hoping, like mine, it was made in middle school woodshop class (mine was a short roundtop stool with interlocking legs) ~ and do you still have it? Or did you give it away as a gift? Use it for kindling? Perhaps you still sit on it? Feed birds out of it? If you made it again now, how would the modern-day version, given all of your worldly experience and snarky outlook on life alter its appearance, construction, and place of honor in your life or the life of another? [Can you tell that I'm a writing teacher who has years of experience making up writing prompts for middle school students?]
The freeway light analogy reflects a huge generational gap between when you and I grew up and the way today's 20 and 30 year olds grew up.. good parenting went out the window at some point. I like to think of them as raised by wolves.
Thank you for sharing these thoughts. Here in Minnesota our Native brothers and sisters have long tried to teach us that we are all better when we help each other be better, ie "Be a good neighbor". We don't pay enough attention to that lesson. I have 3 younger brothers and when the true accounting is performed, I suspect that I will have drunk all their share of beer many times over.
When you stop before doing something and realize it's going to hurt later, it's a sign you are getting old. You are really old when you don't do it cause it's not worth the pain.
I really like having the audio so I can listen and/ or read your content. Thanks for that!
Question: speaking of taking care of our siblings, any comments or insight into the downfall of American Healthcare? The problem varies by state, income level, job, etc. But I feel alone in my worries that the care just won't be there as we and future generations need it.
I love, love, LOVE this! Who would you like to sit down and have a conversation with? (All safety protocols in place, including muzzles if you're chatting with cannibals.)

No question, just a sincere thank you for being such a heart warming and inspiring person.
Why do birds suddenly appear?
Every time?
Yup, it's well documented that it's every time.

On the topics of meats… Green Egg or Trager? Pros/cons of each would be appreciated.
Why do people seem to treat dogs, or people for that matter, who act silly by nature as stupider than their stoic counterparts?

Are you playing favorites?!!
I’m clearly not.
Tee heee!!!
Ever carve a totem pole? O use a shave horse?
