Thank you for the reminder of how "great" Billy Jack was, at least to my 13 year-old sensibilities. I saw all four Billy Jack films, but the second left the greatest impression. It was quickly followed by Kung Fu (1972), starring David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine, another story of a pacifist who found it necessary to use his fists to mete out old school justice on the behalf of those who were bullied. I even have a tattoo of a dragon on my arm based on his "burn in" dragons, that I got later in life to remind that the real fight is to protect and serve those who cannot do the same for themselves. The Buford Pusser story is different, but, perhaps a related sentiment. I do recall when he busts up the still and the overhead shot reveals moonshine in gallon plastic milk jugs and Skippy peanut butter jars. That's exactly what it came in when purchased out the back of a sporting goods store in eastern Kentucky when I was 16. The whole of these charcters begs the question, "Who are (should be considered) our modern day heros, and why?"

Oh, the memories! I first saw Billy Jack at the drive-in theater in Fayetteville AR many, many years ago. You do him proud!
