Hi Nick,

I’ve recently read your latest book and it’s inspired me in many ways, one of which is seeing more of the beauty that Mother Earth has to offer us. So I’ve booked a trip to Canada where I will be exploring a few national parks. I will be hiking, taking canoes along rivers and white-water rafting. Having been on many hikes yourself (and me not so much), what are your essentials that you always take with you?

Thank you,

Zoë

P.S (if I can be cheeky)

Any plans for more episodes of your podcast ’In Bed with Nick and Megan’?

As a person who is currently watching my grow-your-own-laborers program create a chicken house, I too am always motivated to write more when hard labor rears its necessary head. So my question is, what is the task most likely to drive you into the arms of "Sorry, but I have to arts" excuse? Taking out trash? Weeding? Laundry? Washing Dishes?

First off, I wanted to give you praise for your work on Devs, your acting was fantastic on it. With the brown-nosing out of the way… what are your thoughts on the concept of free will versus predetermined destiny? Are we truly in control of our lives, are we just playing out the roles that were made for us, or are we at the whims of quantum physics and other concepts we don’t fully understand yet?

Which ones are your favourites? I am an inept admirer of woodworking and I enjoy discovering the tools used.

Hi Nick, I’ve followed you since watching Parks and Rec and was lucky enough to meet you on the Lagavulin advert, I was one of the hairy warriors. Do you have any future plans to jump across the pond and visit Scotland again? And if so would you consider planning any events? Kind regards,

Jamie

Hello Nick,

I believe you named your trailer The Nutmeg of Consolation. I can only assume this is because you are a Patrick O'Brian fan. If I am correct, can you shed some light on why you picked that ship for a name? What is your favorite AM book, and have you ever sailed on an old wooden boat?

Thank you,

Will

Dear Chief Donkey

Do you consume any other libations, or is it Scotch? (I know not Scotch AND water, that would be just be a waste of good Scotch) There is a local joint here in Minnesota that has a veritable (and literal) wall of options (looking at you, Volstead House) and with so many options it seems a bit of a waste to not try the rest, as well.

You may have already held forth on this topic, so forgive my shoddy memory if that is the case.

I believe that shoveling blacktop drives a great number into “white collar” jobs, I know it did for me. I can also say that it’s often these challenging jobs as a youngster that build essential character regardless of the career we ultimately end up in.

Hold on now...you mean to tell me that Ron Swanson isn't just you under a pseudonym? Soooo, does this mean the entire "acting" thing you do is nothing more than pretending to be someone else entirely!? Is nothing what it seems anymore!?!? I'm gonna need a minute.

ps...Leslie Knope is really just Amy Poehler though, right?

Nick, you were born to entertain - in grade school you were full of energy, curiosity and interested in getting attention, making people laugh.

I do have a question - did you have Miss Marci as your Kindergarten teacher? Do you remember the names of your teachers from 1st and 2nd grade? I can't and it has been driving me crazy for years trying to remember.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday Nick. Hello from Chicago, Illinois again <3

I want a life in the arts too. I wish I could find something, stumble across an opportunity and just magically find what I’ve been looking for. I think I have a lot of hobbies. Isn’t that bad? I can’t ever make up my mind. I love drawing. I love writing. I like playing around with clay. I like building things. Little miniature models. I like being able to create things I use on my own instead of buying them. I am not good at any of this though. I am just a person made up of a million little things that aren’t complete. Which makes me incomplete.

My question is ... I know you have a lot of things you enjoy doing too. How do you balance all of it? What would you say is your favorite thing to do?
