Thank you for sharing this! It’s awesome! 🌟 Solid Sound 🌟 is one of the most special places to me. Two days before I was supposed to leave, I tested positive. The disappointment gutted me.

Thank you for sharing a piece of the magic.

I love it! Thank you for sharing your song. Your voice is like Waylon’s. You are just a country song waiting to be sung. Could you cover Luckenbach Texas? That would be amazing. Have a great week! :)

Hey Nick! I’m from Chicago. Although I wish I was anywhere else. (maybe Wisconsin?) You have a wonderful voice. Thank you for sharing that. You’re talented!!!

It’s almost June. I can’t believe the year has flown by so fast.

Sometimes I find myself down in the dumps. It’s like I dig myself into a hole and can’t ever find my way back up. I try journaling and writing all my thoughts down but that can only do so much..

My question is… How do you handle stress? How do you find motivation to keep going and not give up? What makes you want to keep being a better person? A better version of the person you were yesterday?

Hope you’ve been having a good day! Again, you have a lovely voice. I wish I could play the guitar. I tried teaching myself once and gave up out of frustration.

A very welcome surprise. Came to check the ol' electronic mail on my prep and behold; procrastination of the most enjoyable order.

Coincidentally, my next class is grade 5 guitar and we are starting our year end song writing project. I can never remember, and don't care to google, if it was Merle Haggard or Harlan Howard that said "All you need is three chords and the truth". Or something to that effect. I'm sure it has been credited to many worthy song writers. Thankfully nobody told Rush about the chord thing.

Our theme for our project is 'Watershed and woodshed moments in my life'. This got me to thinking about times that I had no control changing me for better (or worse), like my mother being ill while I was young, or when I chose to pursue music as a tuba player (for the fame and glory) and eventually a teacher (more fame and glory). I find the the idea of change being an event (watershed) versus a choice involving significant work (woodshed) to be very stimulating, if not overly simplified. Hopefully the 10 year-olds I teach will feel equally challenged.

So a question: Do you have any vivid watershed/woodshed moments that you would like to share?

Regards from Breton, Alberta
