Danielle, of Portland, Oregon, asks,
“What's your hot beverage(s) of choice, and your favorite place to drink it?”
Amanda of Albany, New York, asks,
“As you appear to be an avid lifelong learner, what are some skills/hobbies that you wish you had and/or will be embarking to learn next?”
and Devin Bradley, currently in San Francisco, asks,
“Do you have any daily rituals or routines you’d care to share, i.e. journaling, etc.?”
Danielle, Amanda, and Devin, thank you very much for your questions and your friendly interest.
On this lovely Mother’s Day in Chicago, looking out at Lake Michigan from a secret penthouse high atop the downtown Hilton, all over and through which Harrison Ford scrambled in the last 20 minutes of The Fugitive, I am grateful to have a moment of solace with a cup of coffee and my muleteers.
Side note: Chicago is the greatest. I love this city, and not just for launching the careers of both Megan Mullally and myself. Yesterday, as I watched a parade celebrating Polish Constitution Day from this eyrie, I felt a warm tear trickle down my ruddy cheek, sent by the warm realization that when I’m in Chicago, I’m never more than 40 feet away from a sausage vendor of some ilk.
Love,
